The last beach of Recreio dos Bandeirantes before the road climbs to Prainha. It faces open sea, so the surf is steady and the crowd is mostly boards and bodyboards rather than families. Lifeguards sit at the Pontal end, and a few kiosks on the sand sell drinks. Buses from Barra stop on the avenue behind it.
