The open-air Monday samba at the birthplace of the genre. Crowded, loud, and worth it. We gather at the top of the steps at 8.

Monday night samba at Pedra do Sal is one of the things Rio does that no other city can copy. Live roda de samba in the street, on the spot where samba started.

We meet at the top of the stone steps at 8pm, then move down together once the music starts. Filming is normal here, but keep it light: this is a party first.

Cash for drinks, small camera, no tripod. It gets packed.
